Why travel?
Right now, I feel lost.
I’m scared for the future, but also excited. I’m terrified that I’m going to make the wrong choice in the ‘choose your own adventure’ game, that is life. I’m lost but also feel found and like myself for the first time in a long time. And ALL OF THESE THINGS CAN BE TRUE and exist simultaneously.
I’ve always wanted to have a blog/platform where I can express myself and share my travel adventures based on Elizabeth Gilbert’s book and the movie adaptation of Eat Pray Love. I learn something different about myself and the book each time I read it.
From an early age, I was drawn to the excitement and newness that traveling offers.
Experiencing different cultures and learning new things from people who have lived a completely different life than me makes my heart so, so happy. Traveling is my first true love and will always be there for me in times of need. If I’m struggling, I book a trip—a toxic trait for my bank account, but my serotonin doesn’t mind it.
A life goal of mine is to visit as many countries as possible and experience and learn from as many different cultures as I can.
Every place has a word.
Below are mine.
